One of the best experiences I had many years ago was when I went to see the Broadway Musical CATS. One of the longest running Broadway shows ever. It was awesome. You needed to actually be there to appreciate it entirely. It so happens that while I was at JHS 118, our English teacher had all her students write an essay with the topic being"What makes a good teacher?". Little did I know that I would be one of the top essay writers and I would win among other goodies, the chance to go see CATS live on Broadway. That was so exciting since our teacher did not let us know ahead of time that we would need to write an essay right there on the spot that day and handed in as a contest paper. This all comes to mind as just a few weeks ago I turned on the TV to see that there was a special on this long running show CATS and the entire musical was being shown. It's been quite some years since this and still, it was an unforgettable treat that I recommend anyone of any age to experience.
A place to share memories and thoughts about back in the day and everyday life today. So if you lived in the Bronx or are a fan,we may agree there's no place like it. Everyone has a story to tell, a crazy, cool or unique experience to share. So no matter where you're from, I'd luv for you to stop by with your comments or thoughts.
You know that saying: If I could go back in time...........
Well, unfortunately not possible. But the mind is such a wonderful thing, it can take you anywhere.
The heart of my growing up years took place in the Bronx. There are things and people who stick with me forever in my mind and in my heart. So many good times walking up and down my block on Grand Concourse. I sure miss those days, the holidays, the diversity. Now looking back, so many things have changed but never will I forget that this is where it all began.
